Dreamland — Margate

2016 - 2017




In recent years Margate has received much needed investment sparking a revival of one of the U.K.’s original tourist destinations. The Dreamland amusement park, once the beating heart of the Margate seafront was in need of a dramatic transformation.

A.M. STUDIOWORKS was commissioned to define the experience vision for Margate with Dreamland acting as the driving force. A forward thinking creative concept that’s unique to Margate, it’s culture and it’s people, establishing a new legacy, which Dreamland can be famous for.

The creative strategy of “For the Dreamers” appeals to a more focussed millennial audience of higher demographic but from a wider reach. It strikes a common ground between locals and visitors through a shared ambition and creative adventure making Dreamland an aspirational destination for inquisitive souls.

Dreamland officially reopened in time for the May bank holiday weekend 2017 and throughout that summer hosted a string of sold out live events such as Maximo Park and Gorillaz Demon Days Festival.
